Icons Galore
29 Jul 2009
Today's update consists of nine new exclusive icons. Who's the subject? Madonna! Well, you should know that she's absolutely my favourite singer, and I have to admit that I haven't worked on her pictures for a long time - about one year - because I decided to take a little break (and avoid annoying someone with too much stuff on her :P). There are a lot of photoshoots sessions that I want to use for my graphic works, so this update is the first one of a long series, but I promise I won't neglect the other contents so don't worry. In these icons I used very soft colours, actually most of them are in black and white: I think this coloring is perfect for these photoshoots, and I really like the result. I hope you do too!

Loves Me, Loves Me Not?

Well, the title of this news could sound funny, but weirdly it's perfectly matched with the update! I made a brand new effect tutorial for that forgotten page. Actually, it's not an 'effect' tutorial, rather is a quite easy way to set your images before you start working on them for some graphic stuff. The guide will show you how to focus the subject you've chosen for your work, it's a very quick method that I myself used many times. It' very important to focus on the subject of the pictures you use, thus your graphic work will be even better when it's finished if you worked and retouched a bit the original image. Oh, I was forgetting to explain the title, well I used a beautiful image of a daisy for the tutorial, so that's why I've chosen this weird saying!

The first update of this new version will bring back lustre to the Patterns page. Sure enough, the update itself includes twenty brand new patterns ready to be used in your graphic works. I think they're quite different than the old ones, because I kept in mind what's important to make a pattern really useful and pleasant, something I haven't always done, speaking of patterns. Most of the new patterns are in black & white, because I think they're the most charming and the most useful, as I said before. Black & white colours give to the patterns something special that can shift your background - or whatever it is - into a work of art, that's my point of view. But you'll find coloured patterns as well, I used soft tones to make them agreeable for your sight. So, enjoy the new goodies!
